Review: The Love Affairs of Nathaniel P. by Adelle Waldman

Oh dear, this is the Virgin Suicides conundrum again, but the opposite. If I'm debating whether or not I rate Suicides too low, here I'm debating whether or not I rate The Love Affairs of Nathaniel P. too high.

Review: Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins

Rebel Belle is like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, if Buffy is an overachieving Southern belle who gets her powers by accidentally forgetting her lipgloss one night. Oh, and I find out I have a thing for nerdy hipster guys. Go figure.

Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge

I was having a bit of difficulty choosing what to read next, until I came across the "Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge." Gilmore Girls seasons 1-4 is one of my favorite television of all time (let's not talk about the later seasons) so I shrug and say, 'why not?'. The list comprises of more than three hundred books (and taken from here) so I have a lot to choose from. I've marked the books that I've read.

Review: Gods Behaving Badly by Marie Philips

In Gods Behaving Badly, the Greek gods are real and living in a dilapidated house in northern London in very reduced circumstances. I always love a good "mythological figures in a modern setting" story and this book does not disappoint.

Review: Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte

Review: Prez

DC comics have just released a "reboot" of their 1973 comic book series, Prez, about a teenage girl who becomes the President of the United States of America sometime in the near future. The premise sounds weird and far-fetched, but the rebooted comic is surprisingly great: witty, heartfelt, and wildly humorous, poking fun at things from Senatorial corruption and exorbitant medical costs to adjunct professorship and Internet culture.
